Almera Airbox

Thinking of popping over to the scrappers tomorrow as I spotted an Almera last time. Want to get the airbox off it but I'm unsure of how much it should cost me and I don't want to be ripped off.
How much should I expect to be charged for it? And what sort of increases can be achieved(with combinations of other mods) on a 1.0l?

The gains will be marginal by itself but it is a good mod to do.

Try and get the snorkel too

correct, the n16 petrol mera has a QG engine, you need a GA one

I paid a tenner for mine, tryed to get the snorkel but its attached in a fiddly way, so i yanked it!
Only ended up with the actual box in the end but its how i run it, no baffles with an open end on it.. very loud!

I never got that bolt under coolant tank off, couldn't get to it, just hacksawed the original intake pipe

It's just a bolt holding in a rubber washer. There's a clip on the pipe that goes on the rubber
Haven't been for a drive yet, but seeing as the rest of my car is standard then probably exactly the same.
