alarm + locking kits

I've been thinkin about installing an alarm/immobliser and.or a central locking for the doors.

I've seen quite a few kits on ebay that are "universal" etc, has anyone here ever bought/used/fitted a kit similar to these (links at the end)

and are there any problems/drawbacks/badorgood points about them

That third one is the dogs...

Although i had 2 drawbacks when i fitted mine in the k10, sometime one likes to stay open while the others close, or if not the switch...for example you can never win...takes ages to get both working, plus mine where fitted profesionaly...

Dont let it put you off, very good kit when installed!

EXTRA: That third one is only a relay mate, you would need to buy the locking kit extra.

universal ones are alright but to be honest unless u get the top of the range gear if a crook wants something in yur car they will get it, even the top end ones dont always deter

yeah, its more the central locking kits I was interested in, for the front doors with the remote would be pretty cool and somthing different for an M reg micra, but then I saw that some of the alarm sets can control the central locking etc and when I saw the price on some of those sets I thought it might be worth a look into

i couldnt tell u the exact make and model but i got an alarm and the central door locking kit off ebay for about 60 from china and it worked a treat, installed it myself (took all day mind you) but it did the job. I have since seen these sets r 30 from uk, ill have a browse
