Airbag resistor

I've just installed an aftermarket steering wheel to my rally car and also removed the airbag.
I've put a 2.2 ohm 3w resistor between the two yellow wires under the steering column, this however has not turned the flashing airbag light off.
Any suggestions ?

To turn the light off on mine i put a break in the solder going to the light on the circuit board at the rear of the instrument panel. Very easy to do.

Just take out the bulb on the instrument panel and that will sort it out.

There's no bulb in it it's an led insise of the clocks

Mine was the same with no removable bulb hence putting a break in the circuit.
