air pipe positioning?

im taking out the standuard air pipe and putting in a new pipe onto my airbox with k&n panel, where should i put this? take the same route around the engine then down the front to the grill OR take the pipe straight over the top of the engine?
what would you suggest?

Left mine off. The hole isn't very big either so I reckon the best way to do it would be to chop off the little spout and enlarge the hole. Then stick some ducting hose up to it and route that to the front grill using the shortest path possible.

ive just got a k&n pipe down to the bottom grille under the number plate , the lower to the floor the better i was told by k&n?it does make a difference where you put it so choose wisely, i will be diff from you i have a k12 impul kit.The colder the air to the engin the better too
