Air Con Issues

Hi,

Have a 57 Plate Spirita. Absolutely ace little car apart from the Air Con. I went to get it rehashed and it held pressure although there was no gas in. However the compressor is not kicking in. This was over a year ago so I imagine the gas will have depleted again now however the situation was

Will Hold Gas
Button on the dash will light up
Compressor will kick in when powered directly using a tester
Compressor will kick in when powered using tester from fuse behind light

anyone experienced this before and have any ideas?

It should hold the gas for a few years if not used.

Could be the pressure switch that checks there is gas, or a fuse. Not sure a fault reader will be able to identify that, would need to check.
