acceleration holding back, oil leak, possible problem???

Hi

hope this is the right forum, we have an X reg Micra, 1 litre.

It has recently started to hold back in 2nd gear when you try to accelerate. And continues to do so until you stop, and then restart, after that i is ok, once the engine is warmed up.

We have had some problems with it starting, and a couple of weeks ago it 'popped' loudly as it was starting up. There is now a slow oil leak under the sump.

Don;t know what the problem is. Once it is running it sounds fine. And runs fine.

Any ideas?

Best have someone look it over and hook up a consult to see any ECU faults

Have you checked plugs, dizzy, throttle body conditions?

It happened to me once a loose battery connection, caused my car to pop several times and eventually cut off and would not restart. It could be something simple. The oil may be unrelated just something you didn't notice before.
