More than likely one of the resistors on the card has blown. You can pick them up new cheap enough. Not worth going to scrappies as they'll be pretty old anyway. Must be different colours in other browsers. Anyway, even if it is a copy, If it works that's all that counts

I suppose anything that passes high current, but acts as a resistor, will overheat and burn-out eventually. They should have located the resistor card inline with the cold air flow of the ventilation system.
