4sp / 5sp GearBox

I have seen that many people have swapped their 4-speed gear box for a 5-speed / 5-speed-close-ratio boxes.

My question is:

Has anyone in here added a 5th gear cog and bush to a 4speed box to convert it to a 5-speed?

It looks possible from the exploded diagram in the haynes....has anyone had any first hand experience of trying this?

If so, how did it go for you?

i think the gearbox casings are different in size so i would guess that its not possible

The gearbox casings are very different in size, as are the main and lay shafts.
