2nd coolant sensor ?

saw this on the airbox thread and wondered what was involved

using a 2nd coolant temp sensor cuts down the coldstart enrichment by about 2/3rds (mine is closed looping within 1/2 a mile on a cold morning)

anyone tell me how this works , my car is normally into a long open road from cold , so getting the choke off asap will be great for me .

you wire it in parallel mike (a suitable resistor would probably have the same effect) mine is clipped under the dash with a switch to turn it off if if i ever wanted to
nissan used to supply a piggyback length of loom with a resistor attached, that stopped the engine flooding when restarted
