1) the person who i brought the micra from told me when you hit 80 it starts to over heat its a 1.3 petrol is this a normal problem with them if so how do i fix it?

2) whos got a lowered k11 3 door sitting on steelies? what does it look like any pics looking for ideas

thanks in advance for any help

No its not normal!!!! Take it up to 80 and find out. Check your water level first, then after to see if you've lost any coolant.
If you have...start looking for the leak!!

if you flush the system and find a leak but don't want to much dismantling, holts radweld will fix most problems and do a good job.. depending on the age of the car, don't squeeze the rubber hosing as that will dislodge scale and other crap and block the finer water ways in the engine head which will lead to over heating, my 1994 k11 1.3slx will sail down the motorway for 10 or more miles at 100 and never over heat.. at a guess cause that would be illegal

I'm not saying I have definitely "Done" it, but mine will quite happily cruse at 90 along a motorway for over 100 miles ut the mpg is not economical ;) If your coolant is good take a look at the engine oil, since the oil does about 70% of the cooling, I find it a lot when people have a low oil level and they complain of overheating, top up the oil and we don't see them till they need more of the stuff, I would recommend changing the oil if it is majorly low though.

As for you request of lowered with steelies mine is lowered 40mm with 30mm wheel spacers on the rear.
