160SR owners, how many of us is here actively writing?

For UK cars only obviously and not all MSC members but interesting nonetheless.

Allegedly an adapted manifold/exhaust and the turbo from the 85/87hp 1.5 diesel 2008-2010 K12 works well with the HR16DE engine, I stress allegedly, the gains as you would expect are considerable. I heard this from a local Clio specialist, he seemed quite genuine, who I am to doubt him

Yo Old vinyl!
If English is your native language, please read this link with tough: Nissan Note 2006 - 2009 1.6i 110hp/153Nm => Stage 2: 126hp/177Nm 135.00€ ! :unsure: ;)

I send them an email asking would that work with Micra HD16DE power plant or would they be willing to make one for Micra HR16DE.
So far no answer, maybe it's my Finglish, or they just don't need more business?!

For me looks like you can buy/load from them ECU remap-files to be loaded to your computer and load files to ECU of your vehicle...?
English being my second, Swedish language third, mandatory languages by law, here in the Land of the Finns.
I might have misunderstood read text! :(

Also please check German option link: Nissan Micra (III) 2003-10 SR 1.6i 110hp/153Nm => 123hp/171Nm 179.00€
I understood that they sell you module with wire harness that you connect to between cable to ECU and ECU, may be also between some engine sensors.
Same principal is used for modifying ECU of fuel injection Harley-Davidson's to get more power. Module gives 'modified' information to ECU, that changes parameters based on given 'modified' information. This results more power!:rolleyes:
You can modify/adjust some parameters by your camera quipped personal portable multimedia device witch, has quite often practical additional feature build in, a telephone! ;)

I am happy with the 160 as is, i like it stock but i would have liked to have fitted one of those lovely German exhaust systems but was sadly too late to the party on that one. I have another make in mind for the extra GG`s & will be keeping the SR as it is bags of fun . Good luck getting a reply on your offer.

@Mika The Finn please a small favour, I see from photos of your car you have the front lower lip spoiler/splitter/whatever it’s named.

I got one of those today free for my car however no fixings no clips, I can see either end is screwed in but the other holes are a mystery, can you please take a photo of the different fixings/clips on the car and post it for me that would be awesome sir?

Otherwise yes, but the recovering C5 broken cervix prevents me from performing this kind of action around the car for another 5 weeks... :(

Does anyone else have the front lip spoiler splitter, if yes a photo of the clips or fixings used to attach it to the car would be muchly appreciated?

Thats interesting. Only other remap or piggy back ecu I was aware of is a place in Italy or Greece, where they offer a remap i think for about €400. Its feasible, just not commercially viable. However, if you have a product and software that can be easily tailored to any car, then financially worthwhile to offer.

Mine had sluggish acceleration, but did 3 petrol cleaner treatments, one after the other. Sorted sluggish acceleration, and mpg reading has increased by 3.

Sorry this is stating the obvious but you do now you can reset the average MPG statistics buy pressing and holding the button on the steering wheel? I think a weekly reset or before a long journey gives me a more accurate MPG reading.

Ha ha, couldnt resist it, ordered the German one. Fingers crossed.

Great!
When it arrives, could you tell what is included in it. Curious how the module is actually connected to ECU and what sensors, if any, will be feeding 'modified' data to ECU?
Here in the Land of the Finns nearest dyno is 25km from my house, test run just to measure power & torque is 40.00€.
Do you have interest to see before and after readings of your Micra...?

Could you measure distance between strut bolt center to center, orange line in pic?
I'm maybe fabricating front strut brace, something like in second pic.

I can and I will for you absolutely no problem, my pleasure however I am a tad puzzled as to why you don't just measure this on your own car? Maybe the cervix operation recovery?

Muchos Grasias!
I could measure this during this year, but not at this moment. I have that head/neck stabilizing support collar, if I bend my neck forward, horrible pain and black dots in the eyes.
So bending my neck, is pain the butt...!

Yeah i just plan to get a bit more perfomance from a cone air filter and new exhaust at this point, big fan of it stock :)
As for my exhaust i live ~20min drive from a place that does custom stainless steel ones so i guess i'm lucky in that sense, prices starting at £450 but honestly i'm more than happy to spend it haha

Had the stainless cat back fitted, and the gan box. Sounds great, understated sports sound.

Wasn't convinced made much difference to performance. However, I don't push it, as find eibach springs too harsh. Getting then replaced with old 160sr springs on Thurs. The bilstein b8s are staying, as they fit Sr springs.

I'd bought a Megan 2.0 litre air intake, but never got around to fitting it. Looked at the intake, like a pea shooter even on 1.6. Have a kandn panel fitted. Will mod the intake to fit slam panel, and remove the long intake arm, leaving the remaining 67mm duct that goes into air box. A simple bypass. See what happens.

Will use 70mm ducting to connect the two.

Pictures?!;)

I haven't done the work on the intake yet. I took the first long intake off earlier, and drove without it. Will not be as straightforward as I thought, as the second intake leading into the air box, is not a full circle diameter. I will need to make an intake for the whole length. The opening into the start of the first section, is smaller than the rest of the intake, so imagine air intake is quite restricted. Will run a 70mm duct from Megan intake, to air box.

Been driving car without the first long part of the air intake. Its done the trick. Accelerates much more quickly. Even pulled some wheel spins by mistake. The neck at the start of the intake is very restrictive. No issues driving without part, but will do the Megan duct, with 70mm ducting through to air box. Very happy with performance now. Will get it dynoed when lock down ends. Fuels consumption driving around town is lower, as driving much quicker.
