If you can't add it to your current insurance then I just got day insurance through temp cover for £22 with a £500 excess for a 51 plate micra. Also if your a quidco user they are doing £8 cashback.

Who did you use?

28 lb,

You should check out the lake me and my dad own www.fishing-in-France-leverret.co.uk

£150 pp per week, exclusive use of house and lake to yourself for the week, all large items of tackle are out there, rods, bed hairs, bivvies, pods etc

Jus need bait rigs reels and alarms

It's awesome out there, I go loads throughout the year, average 40-50 carp a week, all hard fighting fish

Largest in lake is over 30, collecting 2 more 30's and some cats in November to stock lake with

Where abouts do you fish?

Is your sole purpose in life to make me jealous?? ;) That sounds awesome and definitely something I would be interested in next year, work permitting. Need to see how many other carpers are in MSC and have a 'MSC Fish In' :D As I have very limited time to fish when I'm working ( I'm a weekend dad to two girls) I just tend to fish local runs waters. Done Linear twice (blanked both times, only did 24hrs and most catch reports show fish coming in 2nd day) , Drayton res...mental when it kicks off. The common in my pic came from swillington, just outside leeds. Whereabouts in country are you?

Top kipper that mate!

Haven't done either of those lakes yet unfortunately :(

I'm from Luton, but go all over the place really, my top lake tho is the stanwick fisheries in Northampton, Elsons lake

I'm going to leisure lakes up southport this weekend, taking the girlfriends dad and brother out, show em how it's done,

Them doin a 3 night trip in October on elsons, still after my first English 30!

You should defiantly give my place a go, seriously good fun, easy to catch, I jus fish on top with biscuits all day, you will go through 15kg of biscuits in a few hours, catching a carp a cast!

MSC carp crew!

Got some good carp lakes down your end, think us northerners are still a little behind with the stamp of fish we have but we're getting there ;). Just signed on to your fishery site, looks great. How many can fish the lake at once? Definitely think MSC carp crew is a top idea :D

We have 3 bivvies set up permanently, (two single man, one double man)

So really fishes a maximum of 3-4 people

The house is something we are really proud of, totally self sufficient power via wind turbines and solar panels, English tv

House has 1 double bedroom, and 2 single beds and a sofa bed (not to comfy tho)

So peaceful and quiet out there, and you will never see a better nights sky when it's clear.

It's the cheapest fishing holiday that involves your own gite (house) and lake in France

We've priced it just to cover cleaning costs and insurances of the place, we just want people out there feeding the fish and making sure the place gets used (stops poachers, which is a problem)

That is awesome, its a sad fact of life that all our day ticket waters are massively pressured and I personally prefer as few lines in the water as possible ;) (not to mention as few idiots on the bank as possible too.....or is that just a sheffield thing!) lol Poachers are a problem over here too aren't they, thieving barstewards! Hopefully this is gonna be my holiday sorted next year..........now, to find a job quick smart!

Btw, amazing how much fishing tackle you can get in a K10 isnt it! I'm 6'3", my brother is 6'2" and we filled my 10 up with us and enough stuff for both of us to do a 48hr session, that was EVERYTHING in the car, rods n all! lol

There a complex of 4 lakes in Milton Keynes called teardrops, lake 4 (my favourite coz no one fishes it really) got dragnetted

Bailiff caught them in the act, but wasn't sure if they had just started or were finishing off, saying that tho, nothing's been out in ages :( nit to mention our eastern European visitors who have a taste for carp.

Angling pressure is terrible here too, weekends are a no go, unless you get the Friday off work.

Must admit I haven't been as much as I'd like, getting harder to find the time, plus the money!
Bait and tackle ain't cheap, spend at least £30-40 on bait, then your day ticket.

But still loves it :D

Yeah, we've lost a lot to our eastern european 'brothers' too :( Sadly its like everything else these days, prices are rocketing with no signs of slowing down. I have had some real good sessions on boilies but the price now is shocking. And dont even start me on leads and hooks!! lol My bro did a 24hr a couple of weeks ago and as usual he blagged half of my tackle, I hadn't had any of it out for months but getting it out made me realise how much I miss it :( So gotta get back out there!

£28? Reasonable I'd say.

I was quoted £58 to drive my dad's Chicken Paxo (Citroen Saxo ;)) for a day!

Chicken paxo'!!! Hahahah :D

That's with RAC, spose il just do it, get broke down cover included too.

Can't wait!!

My cousins the same, always pinching my gear, and getting me to make rigs!

Get out and do it mate....before it gets to cold!

Was brave and done couple of nights in winter last year, woke up covered in snow and rods frozen into the lakes!

Ha ha, I'm really meticulous with my rigs and my bro always used to say I was fannying about and it was a waste of time. When I consistently out caught him he then decided that I should tie his rigs for him. Now I know as well as anybody that its not all about the rig but his catch rate soared and he even tries to tie his own rigs now! (Still not as good as mine though and when he does tie his own its usually with my gear!) That was brave, day sessions only in winter I'm afraid! Have to not feed kids one weekend and go fishing with their food money! ;) lol

yeah just abit off topic haha. Running line, did have a pole once but i found it a bit boring tbh. There are 2 decent lakes about 2 miles away too :D

Id love ago at that too!!

Maybe when that lottery win comes my way tho!!!

These are my 3 best fish anyways

Prettiest fish I've caught

This little tench was the hardest fighting thing I've had!! Took me an hour to get in, was shocked when I netted it!

Think the look on your face with the tench says it all!! How was the koi? Tend to find ornamentals fight like demons!

That's from my lake, it's only ever been out twice, once at 5 lb, then when I had it at 15lb

Chased it for a week round the lake, different baits, presentations, everything. Eventually caught it with a piece of bread on a hook of all things!

And yes, fought like mad

Sweet, never landed a cat! Ugly slugs, but would love to hCatch one

Decent! I have never really caught anything big. Biggest carp is about 12/13lb and i caught a cod at about 11lb off a boat but that's it really

Tend to find that mid doubles ish is their best fighting weight, get a bit more plodding as they get bigger ;)

Awesome fight, different to a carp, you cant turn their heads like a carp, if they wanna kite towards cover good luck trying to stop em! lol
