1.3 SR MOT failure

Hy guys,

A bit of advice please. My sons 1.3 SR has spectacularly failed it's MOT this morning and we have decided to move it on as it is not worth spending the money on it to get the welding done. Would the car be worth more to break for parts and are parts like the alloys etc desirable to the tuners on the site?

What did it fail it's mot on?

Welding on the floor, seatbelt anchor, rough rear arches, bit of dodgey wiring under the bonnet for the headlights etc. and a CV joint.
I don't think it is worth saving.

We're up in Cleveland.

I will be sorry to see it go, my son was learning to drive in it and I was using it for work while my VX220 is off the road for winter. It's a cracking little car, the engine is sewing machine smooth and it managed to embarass a few rep specials through the round-abouts

So does anyone have any thoughts about breaking this car, are there any parts worth salvaging?

Complete electric window setup with door cards, boot spoiler, bumpers, dials. Although all these parts might not sell straight away people are always on and off here looking for these parts.
