1.0 to a 1.3

I have a 1.0 and look for some more speed out of the monster. I also have a 1.3 scrap micra the same age. The only thing that is good is the engine it’s self.

So can I put the 1.3 lump into my 1.0?
And what would have to be done.

You can, As far as i know you need to transfer engine,ecu, wiring, gearbox and drive shafts. Im sure someone with more info will tell you exactly whats needed....

it's a straight swap engine for engine. nothing else is needed or any extra work to be done.

If you have a scrap 1.3 you might as well swap the lot over.

Gearbox and all mounts
both driveshafts with CV's
gearstick to gearbox link bars (whole unit)

thats worth doing as its stronger parts. but in this case he says everything is bad except the engine itself.

I have the CV's, no 1.3 gearbox. Total scrap bar the eng.

yes there is no external difference between the engines.

The 1.3L gearbox is an RS5F30A.
It's the same box as 1.5L Almera/Pulsar/Sentra which might be more easily obtained.
