1.0 to 1.3

hey again,

I have been reading and was thinking, the only difference between the 1.0 and the 1.3 is the crank, rods and pistons? right? in which case its real easy to make a 1.0 into a 1.3
Is the ECU etc. the same or will i have problems jst changing over the bits?

To swap the engine few bits are needed, its getting the 1.0 gearbox to fit thats the bugger.

The 1.0 ECU will work with the 1.3 engine.

To fit the 1.3 gearbox into a 1.0 car you will need..

1.3 gearbox
1.3 shafts and CVs
1.3 shift unit (both bars)
All 1.3 mounts to chassis
All the bolts for the 1.3 gearbox

Hopefully it will come with clutch and flywheel etc. You will need the release bearing for the 1.3 too.

Probably best to find a 1.3 in a scrappy and get the lot! :-]
