Greetings from Estonia to all. I'm in the middle of GA16 swap. I have searched the forum from start to end but still have question about gearboxes. It has been said that facelift pre 2000 gearbox from 1.0l 40kw engine sits directly to GA16 engine and it should take GA flywheel too. My car has post 2000 facelift engine with 44kw and I'd like to know does that gearbox fit the engine? I already noticed i cant use GA flywheel because startermotor is placed on gearbox faceing other way and the tooths on FW are on different sides. So my main question is does the gearbox fit to engine and will the clutch from my old engine do the job as it is or must I modify it somehow. I already know i must make centrebore bigger on my old FW.
