    K11 CG Cylinder Head Flow

I've been thinking about these 2 posts above and the original post and I'm not sure I understand. I thought of engine flow tuning in terms of finding the bottleneck and improving that, so in this case the inlet manifold can only flow enough for about 100hp then all else being equal 100hp is all...

    Injector Upgrade Advice?

Well if you are going to a standalone ecu later the engine management light shouldn't be an issue, that said I have extractors and a aftermarket catalytic converter (cat) after this, it still passed emissions(Australia). It might mean you need to put in a new aftermarket cat further down and...

    Injector Upgrade Advice?

I don't consider myself knowing the answer but here's a bit more info. You generally don't want to run your injectors at thier capacity, because you'd like some in reserve (up to 80% is what I've heard) for fuel trims to adjust with as well it would seem more likely they fail as the injector...

How to fit a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R short shifter to a K11 Micra.

Ah that explains it, I took it apart hoping it would fit the OEM socket but it was too small. As in the original post it has firmed up the shift remarkably and there's more feedback (for want of a better way to describe it). As I used the OEM tube and bushes(to lower linkage) I think it has to...

How to fit a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R short shifter to a K11 Micra.

I bought one of these kits to fit to my mini (with a cg13de) the first one I got had heaps of slop in the ball and socket after a small metal packer fell out, so much so I didn't use it, the seller sent another, this one had no packer but the same amount of slop. After a while I decided to...

    Introductions and a Request

Exhaust generally will be cheaper, I'd also prioritise the exhaust. Two reasons it seems the well worn route to modest gains and is proven and the CG exhaust is even more restrictive than the inlet. This link has Frank's Frankenstein steel inlet manifold (scroll down)...

    Introductions and a Request

Yeah nothing cheap or easy... The easiest and cheapest I would think would be a welded steel manifold frank did way back from a different corolla manifold. I've tried the 5efhe it was close to being able to cut and shut for my mini engine but we ended up going with a custom inlet manifold. Steel...

    Introductions and a Request

The 4efte, 5efhe, and some other corolla manifolds are able to be cut and welded on but are by no means bolt on. There are manifolds for putting on bike carbs or motorbike ITBs. Bike carbs will probably mean it won't pass emissions and ITBs would need an ECU upgrade.

    which belts are needed

Can you read the code / number on the existing belt? If so just look for that. If not then the first number probably a 4 refers to the number of ribs on the belt, the next is the length of the belt in mm. Failing that take the existing belt to a parts place and ask them or compare directly with...

London Ultra Low Emissions Zone ULEZ

NOx are the ones that are most dangerous to your health I think. Live smog tests i think are performed differently, probably a good thing because NOx is generally related to lean combustion, so people would run rich for the test.

London Ultra Low Emissions Zone ULEZ

DanDan from what I've seen you seem to be on the right track, whether it's euro 3 or 4 compliant is irrelevant it's the NOx figures that are important. Euro 4 only comes up because it specifies a level that passes but it doesn't have to pass euro 4 to pass as you've said (it could fail e4 on CO2...

Your Input about Clutches and Clutch change?

I didn't watch the video but is suggest they didn't replace the flywheel generally there's no need, they might resurface it but even that should be rare. He probably removed it to install a new rear main seal, they are cheap and you may as well whilst your in there.

    Oil Pressure Switch

Your right yours looks a bit different, almost like a double hex... There's a 26mm spanner in our tool box... I used a pair of calipers the closest I could get in imperial was either 1" or 1 1/16"

    Oil Pressure Switch

Here's what one of the oil pressure switches in mine looks like (I'm not near the other car/engine both are dizzy engines):

    Oil Pressure Switch

I just checked my other engine and it's a 24mm too, maybe your socket isn't deep enough?
  16. F

    Oil Pressure Switch

24mm, but you want a deep socket so it will go over the whole switch.

    2.5mm Valve Shims Needed

Look for 27mm shims in the correct thickness, as soon as I put in the diameter I got more search results.

    PollyMobiles Rebuild

I'm thinking of next time I get Spot tuned of quickly putting on the standard TB to see what difference it makes, trouble is that engine is going to be better able to make use of the GA15 TB. I remember the tuner being unconvinced about putting the GA15 TB on, Matt Argent has also gone back to a...

    PollyMobiles Rebuild

That's what this (in results text): http://www.hipermath.com/math_center/racing_calculations Throttle body size calculator reckoned when I was playing with some numbers. Curiously it's 'race' numbers correspond with the standard TB size it's not until you move the peak power figure to 7500rpm...
