    ECU getting intermittent power

On the earlier dizzy engine there's an ecu relay (green) that turns on the power to the ecu, is suggest seeing if that's working. It's located in one of the engine bay fuse boxes yours may be similar.

Anyone know the height of the main cap girdle?

I used to think the same I even went down the rabbit hole of looking for old Pulsar/ Almera etc gearboxes to find a better diff ratio, there was an extremely rare diesel engine with the ratio I was looking for but I never found one. About 3500 at 100km/hr and I think 3700 at 110km/hr, but the...

Anyone know the height of the main cap girdle?

I know of one guy who fitted the cg13de head to the mini block but from what he said it was alot of work and more of an engineering exercise, easier to do the BMW K1100 head as it's a more of a well trodden path. I have a cg13de in my mini, yes the subframe needs modifying but if careful that's...

    Stock cluster with speeduino

I couldn't get an aftermarket tacho to work with the micra's tacho signal wire, I ended up using the return from the coil. So I think the micras tacho signal differs from what's expected.

Spot light bar on the roof

If you are wiring using a relay (which you should) then it's really no more effort to wire it through the headlight dip switch, you need to find a wire either under the dash or bonnet that's live when the high beam is on, run that to your switch then use it to trigger the relay, the wiring to...

    K11 1994 1.3 LX and E10 fuel - have i fallen in a rabbit hole?

There's a thread here: https://www.micra.org.uk/threads/k11-can-they-take-e10-petrol.73864/ Where people have been reporting thier experiences running E10, I think most have been having no problems, perhaps describe what has been happening with your car so we can work out if it's related.

Lannette: The rust and not ready build

A cooling system will suck in coolant from the overflow / reservoir as it cools, if it was hot when you observed it at the minimum mark it's quite likely it's just been sucked in.

Kiwi K11s. Car number five. SCUTTLE SHAKE !

Does each of the 4 slots indicate the position for the 4 cylinders and the little square differentiate number 1 from the others. Being driven from the cam 360 degrees will equal 720 degrees of crank rotation.

    k11 gearbox identification.

Gearbox oil level is generally level with the fill plug on the side of the gearbox, the 41 was the early gearbox and is smaller, I think it had a smooth case without ribs.

Preface lift throttle body clean - How to clean in situ

There's no downside to cleaning the MAF, I'd just do it.

Preface lift throttle body clean - How to clean in situ

When it's not running, there's a wire going across the throttle body you're trying to clean, maf cleaner is designed to leave no residue.

Preface lift throttle body clean - How to clean in situ

Yeah, spray MAF cleaner, it won't be as thorough as if you had the throttle body out but it should clean it up some. Any spray can be burnt in the engine, or leave it a while to evaporate before starting.

    Steering issue

The only thought I had for something that would cause it to steer sideways like that is one of the universal joints between the steering column and the steering rack failing but it would generally start clonking about and have free play.

GA16DE swap parts list and guide.

Nice job you seem to have done your research well, lots of people seemed scared of running an electric water pump but I really can't see why. The Davies Craig ewp controllers don't seem obscenely expensive either... interesting that they seem to expect you'll still run the thermostat.

    Gearbox plug part number

Then that one's correct, I'm pretty sure the drain plug is the one at the rear near the diff. Check for yourself here: http://nissan4u.com/parts/micra/el_k11e/2002_7/type_116/power_train/transmission_case_and_clutch_release/illustration_1/

    Gearbox plug part number

It might be this one: http://nissan4u.com/parts/info/089315121A/ We need more info like which plug, as there's 2 and which engine you've got, a year would help as well as well.

K11 can they take E10 petrol?

Can you look at and record short term and long term fuel trims to see if the ecu is adding some more fuel as it adjusts? When we got it in Australia it seemed they said basically any fuel injected car would be OK, I suspect they are relying on the fuel trims to adjust, ethanol has an oxygen with...
