FWIW here,s the extra 20mm of width you get from spreading the chassis rails apart rudy :)

i bashed my rubbers out with a socket and 2 1/2" pipe rudy :)

    Injectors

same injectors mate, are you sure about it leaning ? 1 member,s dyne figure a/f/r,s drop from 13.2:1 @5k rpm down to 11.5:1 @7k rpm (stock CG10)

    Will it still run ok?

i never tried it tbh mate, mine has the i/c/v removed to clear the topfeed rail, and then i blocked the hole under the t/b with a rubber pipe (the shape of the mani holds the plug in place) with the idle control delete, the ecu uses spark timing to maintain a stable idle, but it is limited in...

it,ll be fine :) mine were deleted years ago

Is this CV joint ok to use? (has some damage)

you can bash the balljoint out with a socket muncher, but most uk members change the whole wishbone you have to load the suspension before tightening up the front inner rubber bush tho :)

the rod in the middle mate ? thats the shaft for the other 2 bevel gears

Is this CV joint ok to use? (has some damage)

looks ok to me muncher, if you dont get that ring dead central it gets trapped and damaged. you may need to straighten it or make a new one from piano wire

Is this CV joint ok to use? (has some damage)

you only need to check that there is a spline showing down the hole muncher. the arrow on this welded diff shows where the domed thrust washer is fitted, and the only thing holding the bevel gear in place is the spline of the c/v, so if you hold 1 spline and spin the diff the bevel gear slides...

Is this CV joint ok to use? (has some damage)

aye those snag rings are a pita aint they muncher :) some grease will help to hold it central, and dont run the car with a shaft removed eh, the 2 bevel gears can easily dislodge and drop down !

as long as you straighten the dust cover yes, else it will cut into the seal

    Cams

yes :) assuming the inlet valves close 17 deg later with the tomei,s (256/222 deg) then i guess the static C/R will drop from 160ish psi to 150ish

it would be interesting to see how much the compression figures drop with the tomei,s fitted. my experience with cams are that they can easily add 10hp to the top-end (4 to 7k), but they are usually actually slightly slower when daily driving. 1.0 pistons are the perfect bedfellow :)

if it was me, i would portopower the chassis apart slightly rudy, here,s how it worked out on my red car :) you get an extra 10mm between the 2 chassis mounts, and an extra 25mm of clearance around the pulleys (and no shaft issues) you can push it so that you end up with a subtle curve no probs...

    Crank timing waaaay out?

the plugs usually look lean anyway pierce, and no the idle screw just bypasses the throttleplate (and the maf still reads the same airflow values) that £17 obd1 connector that i linked has served me well :) and it will diagnose any t/b fault before you fork out for a new one and the CG ecu...
