Huh. Well if the circuit is complete, the fault finder / mechanic come up empty and the light has gone off then I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Maybe it wasn't plugged in 100% or something.

Pretty much I have a 1.4 engine + transmission with 60kish that I'm currently stripping down and plan to rebuild slowly as time allows. You need to plug in the passenger seat belt or the light stays on. I removed my passenger seat and belt to fit more stuff in & do the inside sills and light won't go away until the circuit for the seatbelt is complete.

Just kept re-flushing until I was only getting coolant when I drained it. Never had a problem with overheating...

Following this as also picked up a 1.4 recently and car engines are super tiny compared to what I'm used to :ROFLMAO:

From the looks of them I doubt it but I'm yet to find the time to actually use it on the engine I'm rebuilding so thats just speculation on my part. Probably a question better answered by someone else.

Personally I'd be flushing everything multiple times until it comes out in good condition but thats just me. For oil I'd drain it and flush it through with clean oil before thinking about a flush. Never worked on an automatic so can't really comment on that. I picked up a set of tools for...

If its something thats nagging at you it'd only take 3/4 minutes to drain a tiny bit of oil but at this rate its probably due for a change anyway if its been worked hard.
