Went back to it today and it worked absolutely fine. I'm guessing some debris or dirt got caught up in the carb somewhere. While I was there I checked for vacuum leaks couldn't spot any. Bloody thing. I'm still going to clean the carb Sent from my F5321 using Micra Sports Club mobile app

I would check your throttle body, clean the icv and butterfly. Check and change plugs, look at your dizzy cap and rotor arm change fuel filter. If it's losing power it's probably lacking fuel or not getting a good spark. Could be the beginnings of fuel pump or injector problems is your alt belt...
