    Gettin' my top off

Pretty impressive but hardly a Micra anymore. You could drop any body you want on that, its a bit like me dressing up as a schoolgirl! Awesome doughnut machine though. :)

Think he means there's one near him. Might be a build thread somewhere though! C.

I would be interested in seeing a pic if you can get one. I picked a 3dr Micra instead of a 5dr for one good reason. The doors are longer, meaning the B pillar is further back, meaning you can build the bulkhead further back, meaning you can get the seat further back. I'm 6'4", so yeah, I...

You know, it crossed my mind to get a rowing boat and do that. Maybe on the next one..... ;)

Lol. No worries. Projects like this can stall really easy if you let them. Just look on the eBay for "unfinished" or "abandoned" projects. There's loads. The trick is to keep at it, little and often is better than waiting for a free day or just not doing anything. c.

Yeah, car first. Trailer would be a little bit of a distraction at this stage. :-)

Hi Andy, yes the original colour (EV2) looked pretty good. I'm guessing that from the state of the exterior paint and the stickers that were on the boot that the car spent a lot of time in the Spanish sunshine, so someone chose to respray it (badly). Having said that, lopping the roof off got...

I got about an hour in tonight, and achieved a bit more. Made some metal plates from the cardboard templates and added some holes where metal still existed from the C pillars. Just tacked in place for now, but pretty solid. This line will run from the B pillar all the way around the car...

    Cone filter

On the MR2's I shove the air filter right into the side vent in the engine bay to get it as far away from the hot bits as possible. I did this with a Starlet, but it still picked up heat from the engine bay. Ideally it needed a scoop and a box built around it, so the air it gets is external...

    Cone filter

One of these? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=271867818270&alt=web Might take some tinkering but worth the effort I think. Ideally you need an air box around it so it only gets cold air. Chris.

    Cone filter

Whatever you can fit in the space you have. If its near a heat source, get one with a heat shield, that will stop any heat soak from nearby hot bits. :) C.

    Cone filter

Nope. The purpose of that pipe is to reuse hot oil gasses to improve economy, cold running and save polar bears and such. Cold air is more compressed than hot air. Compressed air is what a turbo or supercharger does for you (forced induction). You want as much cold air as possible, meaning...

    Cone filter

The oil breather draws hot oily air from the crankcase into the intake. Hot air = bad. Cold air = good. Put a small filter on it, run a straight pipe from your filter to the throttle body. Get the filter as close to cold air as you can. You will notice the difference. :) Chris.

Thanks for all the likes and positive comments! (You're never quite sure which waypeople will take it!) So, yesterday I picked up this bad boy for the "rear window" for £10 off of the eBay. Fresh air is good for you right? I'm not sure the fitting instructions are going to be much use to...

Today these turned up! Will try the colour on a test area but going by the nozzle it's yellow, which is a good start! c.

can i remove the heater matrix from my k11?

I agree, anything with an earth loop on it will potentially need bolting down. Check before reconnecting. Also if you have an aftermarket alarm immobiliser there may be some stray wiring that wanders off. And feel free to use complete words. This isn't SMS, and I'm guessing if you own a...
