Glad you found someone to buy it, think you got lucky there :P
I'm going to go ahead and get the wielding done then try and sell in a few months. Cheers for the info.
The suspension mounting hasn't been welded before (at least not since I've owned it for the last 4 years) although it could have spread I guess. But you are right ofc.
Hey guys,
It's been an absolute age since I've posted, but as I remember you all so fondly I wanted to seek some advice.
I've just taken the Vibe (K11) to its MOT, its failed majorly on corrosion. (not sure how much is due to the garage being cheeky).
Here's the list of fails:
Offside...
Great project, one of the nicest facelift micra's i've come across, love the stealth look grey/black, lovely alloys. How much work was it to get the polo front splitter to fit? Planning on doing any engine work?
No worries, yup, it passed. Although your dad was joking about the sils then the guy put them as an advisory! But then we painted them at the garage, so it's all good.
Today:
Welded the cross member, fitted new tires, painted the sills and a bunch of other stuff under the car.
Went for an MOT....
Passed it!
Also, not today but last week, new exhaust fitted.
Damn, was going to post something about sorting out the power then saw the crash! Yikes, take care of yourself man.
I'd say any repair work on that would be far more than the car is worth (£££ wise).
Wow you wernt kidding when you said you had a lot of micra's lying about!
Loads of potential, especially with all that kit lying around.
I wouldn't paint it white though, not a fan. Keep up the good work!
Hi guys,
It's been like 2 years since I've posted, but i've always kept an eye on the forum. I'm still rocking my Micra Vibe and currently staying in Newcastle. I havent been here long and my MOT is almost due. But before it, i'm going to need new tires and a new back box exhaust. I figure I can...
Yea, my micra rusted through for that very reason. Since been wielded and had a solid coat of underseal on them, havent done anything with the pipes, for the reason that my sunroof is jammed shut ><
Thats my car! hehe. Well, just like it anyway. Looks great, and 350 at the moment, thats less than what I paid for mine and mine was in much worse shape! Advice to anyone tho, check it more for rust and peeling paintwork.
