This happened to me with a pot hole reported it and the said they will send out a report form 3 days later they fixed it and two weeks later I got the form lucky I got photos soon as it happened :p thought they could catch me out!

As above and you can use toothpaste too or any cutting compound really here's ones I did quickly on my micra a bit more effort and they would be like new.

If anything it should give you motivation to make it bigger and better :P I've been there when a drunk driver with to licence and no insurance crashed in to my nova unfortunately there're less bovas than micras so I had to sell up :( if it was up to me it would be still be mine
