this is my exact problem and driving long distances woth a 1.0l box is hellish unless its back roads which I can drive like an arse hence the reason I have a vecct diesel now and tow bar very soon :P and I shall return to the world of micras/ marches very soon just need to sort a few things.

Or just take the spacer that comes with the manuals if your doing the conversion easiest way is to buy a complete donor car and swap it all over

Piece of pie the only bit that uses effort is cutting 3 holes in the firewall for the clutch cable but the first sheet is press cut so you just need to cut out the second sheet and then solder the wires for the starter.
