60 seemed the sweet spot for in my K11 :) Time vs fuel economy vs noise. I found any quicker would save me a few minutes on a long journey but increase the noise tremendously. But more often than not I just sat behind lorries doing 56. In fact, I generally still do!

I always thought with the correct care they can last the lifetime of the engine. My 1.0 was mistreated before I bought it and the chain was knackered long before 100k!

It senses the position of the throttle. That's why it's there. :cool: If you've replaced it and you're having issues. Something has to be wrong, surely.

Sounds low on compression? Or a flat battery. I can't whack my vol up at work to get a good listen :)
