I used to run 165/65/13 on my K11. Tenner fitted for part worns and easily 6mm+ tread each. They were surprisingly grippy compared to the 155/70/13 before. I think they were Spyder tyres last but I got whatever they had usually.

I was always told that as a kid. Cars built for 100k. Maybe back in the mid 80's.. It's funny. Old cars from 70s-80s were unreliable. Cars from 90/-05 are, imo, rock solid. Cars from 05-present are built as cheap as possible are we're right back to the "cars are built for 100k".

I wouldn't say so. I've seen plenty well over 100k in perfectly good shape.

In theory, never? The *should* last the lifetime of the engine provided there's been adequate car and attention throughout it's life. Generally a chain in need of a replacement isn;t worth the time / effort to replace when oyu can pick up replacement engines cheaps.

From memory, there's a (metal?) ring that goes in the driveshaft hole. Mine was missing or crushed and was leaking too.

Nice. I've always liked these and was looking at one myself late 2013. My insurance (most?) class these as double displacement and wouldn't insure me on a 2.6L. Plus the ones in my price range at the time were all in need of an engine rebuild and shat most of their oil out the exhaust. This...

The engine in my Honda has 2 intake runners on the inlet manifold. The butterflies are controlled by a vacuum and open at 6k. Supposedly keeps low down torque (lol) and opening the other runners for more high end POWAH

FWIW I paid £100 for a gearbox delivered £200 for a good engine delivered ECU could be a tenner? But i've seen people pick up engines for a fraction of that

From the blower motor? Could be blocked drains under the scuttle panel :) Piece of cake to check chap
