Okay i am struggling to find anything about the vvl in the cr engine manual , theres thousands of pages so i could just be missing the part i need , but theres so much material in it i cantfind anything i need , not the manuals fault but more so my fault , i guess ill just keep looking !

Well its high compression block and i think low compression block would be nicer on the engine that will eventually be turbo'd

Its out , and i think the same block wont go back in , may have gotten myself a march engine , power steering and bits on it , just dont think ill use that block again have a bad feeling about it , either that or use my spare block ( low compression)

Right Step 1 : Aquire v-afc ( check ) 50 euro ( roughly 40 gbp ) So if it doesnt work feck the loss on it :p Now i just need to study the loom of this and what it needs and thanks to darren ill have a manual to find out where to wire it to :) Gonna take engine out of k10 tomorrow night...

Yup cyl 4 cant get the socket in over the head of the head bolt :/ Maybe for some miricle reason if i change the plug it will run ( living in hope ) Could do with a new coil but thatll cost me 40/50 euro by the sounds of it

I dunno was advised to have BDL and luckily one of my SU's i got had BDL so i have that one , First issue i cant find my spark plug socket anywhere , 21mm ordinary changed cylinders 1,2,3 but cyl 4 plug is broke and i cant get it out to swap it ! I forgot to change the plugs when i got the...

having serious issue's getting the car to run :/ sometimes it starts perfectly and now i just cant get it to go, im conivnced its not the SU i think i have an ignition problem, or my bigger fear that the timing is out :( may just take the engine out altogether and do a few bits if thats the case

You cant just replace bushings, there needed to ne not fully rounded but oval shapped to fir becaust the pins are now worn from use , ic tried replacement bushings for people who asked before it just didnt work though , id say easiest way is new hinges which you can get here and all :)

I wonder about mounts etc ... Id be only doing it if it was straight swap so it would go back to standard

A lot easier get 1.5 almera engine , thats why i considered , 1.2 sr would be well out of my bracket :p

I just thought cr being 64bhp and 1.5 being 90bhp there had to be an improvement :p

Ill just be testing cr engine :p shouldnt have brought up the 1.5 thing :p twas just an idea :p
