It's easier to use a resistor. I just shoved a 2.6 Ohm wire wound/Cement bound resistor into the holes used for the airbag sensor.
The other wire is for the horn slip ring. I do love cable ties and magnet wire :)
I did a lot of digging around, and the average seems 2.2 to 2.6 Ohm. You can always try it, but consensus is that the airbag shows a resistance of 2.6 ohms to the sensor.
I shoved a 2.6Ohm Resistor into the plug. You can see it in the video, and some of the pics. Not the most Hi-Tech of solutions, but it's effective and cost a whole 67p :D
I was just shocked the 30A was STILL used on the Almera! Is it used in the 1.2 K12, does anyone know? It's handy to know what you can use from what car to keep your own running ;)
Did some digging. It seems the Almera N15 1.4 uses the same gearbox (RS5F30A) as the late Micra K11 does. The bigger shock was the fact it's fitted to the N16 1.5, too! I'll leave this here for a while, in case it comes in handy.....
