Ideally you'd want vented discs rather than drilled/grooved as that would give you the biggest benefit in an upgrade. Unfortunately you'd then need calipers to go with the vented discs as only the 1.6 Almera, 100NX, Primera, etc will fit their own calipers (practically a straight swap). Not bad...

I was looking at the GT15's previously and they are perfect for the K11 engines, inc the 1.3. Suitable for 100-200bhp and fast spooling too. Enjoy!

Don't use mineral oil, use semi-synth. If you go with 5w40 (not really needed on a standard car) then fully synth is also fine.

10w40 semi-synth would work best imo on that car. You need 3.2L in total.

Sounds like a throttle body electronics problem....a few micras have suffered from dry joints in the TB (easy to fix). The symptoms in mine were exactly the same.
