Hydraulic or simply longer handbrake lever for K12 .....

Hmm so would a hydraulic handbrake with a locking mechanism be the best compromise? And am i wrong in thinking that a hydraulic handbrake is just a straight swap for a standard handbrake and just connects to the same handbrake cables ...?

engine swap ftw.... CR12 to CR14

Sorry to butt in again, but you reckon that a 1.4 is worth it compared to a 1.0? And what sort of price should I be bartering for?

Hydraulic or simply longer handbrake lever for K12 .....

So i've put Sparco Pro 2000 bucket seats into my Micra, but trying to use the handbrake has now become very awkward because of the edges of the bucket seat .... Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this problem? I was thinking either installing a hydraulic handbrake that took the place...

    So, could you change a CR10 for a CR14?

Anyone ever come across a Proracing chip tuning box ...?

So i'm just looking for more power, basically, all in preparation to modify an engine before it is transplanted into a car simply because the work will be more easily done when the engine is out than when it is in. Snooping around on eBay i saw a Proracing chip tuning box (...

engine swap ftw.... CR12 to CR14

Looking on the old wiki, it says that only the 1.4 is a VVT engine ... so if boy blue did it, he must have pulled it off somehow

engine swap ftw.... CR12 to CR14

All I know is that when i asked a Nissan technician if he'd do a cam swap he said no because the cams were on a chain drive

engine swap ftw.... CR12 to CR14

Ditto to what Sparkeigh said; I've found a CR14 engine at a great price and I was looking to do a transplant for my CR10 .. again, not really worth tuning since it's so small ... :( Questions are: 1.) Would it be as easy as taking out the old one and putting the new one in? (taking the front...

Stiff gear change in Nissan Micra K12 ...... short shifter kit?

Anyone have any past experience in lengthening handbrake operating levers? Ive just put some Sparco Pro 2000 bucket seats into the car and the handbrake is a little awkward to operate .... I'm going to do some work on the gear shifter lever to make it longer and to shorten the throw so that...

    Changing standing ride height

Can anyone recommend any decent coilovers for a Nissan Micra K12? I've emailed Gaz and am awaiting a response from them, but in the meantime i feel sure that a renault clio coilover kit might fit a Micra because the chassis is the same ....?

    Changing standing ride height

Speedometer does that already -.- hahaha but youve got true speed and then engine speed and all that jazz so ..... How noticeable will the acceleration difference be do you reckon?

    Changing standing ride height

That's what I'll get round to doing eventually ..... :) Now, adjusting ride height by using bigger wheels: any potential problems? I've done the math and the measuring with the old wheels and I've added a couple of inches to check the clearance from the wheel arch with the new wheels and it...

    Changing standing ride height

There are notable scrapes on the end of the muffler, which leads me to conclude that the muffler may well back too far BACK on the car rather than too low .... and come to think of it, the exhaust clamp which I had to use did end up pushing the exhaust towards the back of the car an inch or so...

    Changing standing ride height

Not so obvious answer coming up ... I haven't the faintest idea hahaha :P

    Changing standing ride height

In order: 1.) Ride height 2.) Exhaust muffler 3.) Backbox on the left and muffler 4.) Rear ride height 5.) Front ride height Current space between wheel arch and tyre is about 3.5 inches and the ride height probably gives one an extra 1.5 inches before the car starts to scrape on the ground.
