Anyone got a decent guide for front bumper removal?

*ahem* well ....... -Remove the light clusters with have the indicators on them which are both held in place by three clips and a couple of pop-screws on the underside of each cluster. Simply lift the tongue of the clips up and then pull the clip out. The pop-screws simply need just the circular...

A general update on the rally-style Micra

The fog lights I have are Hella round fog lights which I bolted onto the front bumper, the exhaust is a 3" muffler tip with a custom de-cat pipe, no idea about BHP but since stock for a 1.0 (which I have) is around 68, I would say probably mid to high 70s and modified front or rear bumper...

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

YouTube it. The procedure for every hatchback is pretty much the same :)

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

You mean like the rubber cover or the strut tops? Broken strut tops would be a problem ... but yeah, my Mum had a Ford minivan go in for an MOT and it failed because of some small bushings that were missing on the steering rack?? They didn't know what they were called or what they did, so Mum...

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

No problem, good luck! :D and just how did it fail MOT?

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

That is a little bit steep I suppose ..... one would have to unbolt the suspension strut from the back of the wheel hub, remove the brake line clips and disconnect the drop link arm and then unbolt the strut from the strut tower before pulling the whole thing out. Then just take a spring...

A general update on the rally-style Micra

An explanation: I have bucket seats and a harness bar with a race harness, so I put a detached seatbelt buckle into the standard seatbelt clip so that the alarm doesn't start beeping at me because I don't have the factory belt on. What you're seeing is the seat airbag light which is on because...

A general update on the rally-style Micra

The moment you've all been waiting for ..... In person the exhaust is much throatier and will backfire (not afterfire) and crackle when downshifting, but unfortunately the car decided to behave itself when I downshifted and so there were no pops :( but this was driving it from almost a cold...

I've had mine done for almost 2 and a half years and haven't had to do anything. However I do live on the Isle of Man and so there is no regular MOT test for cars :D it looks like tests in the UK are done on a regular basis and so I honestly doubt you'd get away with it ...

Yep, either of those ones will work :) there's also one with a single exhaust pipe that comes out of the middle of the rear bumper instead of the two. The main thing is just getting the backbox in the right place as the exhaust pipe bends up and over the rear subframe. If you just cut the...

ground / earth point near the fuse box?

There's a screw that holds on part of the metal trim on the right hand side of the engine bay (the right side if youre facing the car head-on). It should be right along the edge of where the bonnet closes. Just unscrew that, crimp a wire into an o-shaped clip or a u-shaped clip and then tighten...

    What next..?

Search for a set of 100w blue HID bulbs, I believe they're H4 bulbs for the Micra :) they work amazing and look incredibly cool, BUT they'll burn out in just under a year and a half :/ but worth it I reckon ..

A general update on the rally-style Micra

In the time since my last update, I have fitted the finished roof scoop, given the logos on the wheels a lick of white paint, finished the ABS killswitch and coolant temperature gauge (both of which work a treat!) and am getting the wheels balanced and the run-out on the rotors checked tomorrow...

As for the decat part of your exhaust, just cut the mid-section cat off and replace it with a straight pipe which is then welded on in its place. I went to the wrecker's and found a scrap exhaust pipe that i cut up and then slid onto the old exhaust where the catalytic converter was. Sounds...

Greggson do exhausts for Micra K12s ( http://www.greggson.co.uk/nissan-micra-k12-sport-exhaust-p-1168.html ) and that's the exhaust I originally used before I adapted it to a 3 inch muffler and straight pipes. As for maps there are none for any petrol Micra K12s, only the 1.5 DCi model has a...
