Do it. I have had it done on quite a few of my cars. Always had 5% as you can still see out fine. Keeps the inside cool in summer, stops glare from headlights behind and looks awesome.

I always use kits from rclick.co.uk . I fitted 1 solenoid in the door and as the car has manual c/l the other door still opens on the button push.

Any amount of time is good, but I always go as early on Thursday as gates open until late Sunday so soak up the whole experience
