I started cleaning up my spare cam cover and noticed the seals around the spark plug tubes (technical term!) are cracked (inner) or perished (outer). Are they a) necessary b) replaceable c) repairable d) all of the above. Thank you. ***pics not working atm, try again in a minute ***

That's a close fit! Are they oem wheels? And is that a weight that's right up to the caliper?

The oxygen / O2 / Lambda sensor just tells the car how much oxygen is left in the exhaust gas after petrol is burned in the cylinder; the aim being more or less to have no oxygen left, as it's all been used to burn fuel. If the sensor is faulty then the engine may inject more fuel than it can...

I think they are just yellow passivated steel, so should take a fair but of grunt.

Are you using a flipping big breaker bar? I've no idea how tight they are supposed to be but I can't image they are torqued down too tightly... Probably some threadlock that needs cracking off. Sorry that doesn't really help does it...

Twelve is the magic number. Preferably a Colombo V12, or a Porches flat 12. But I can't see that fitting in a Micra!

You can fill from the speedo drive. I seem to recall that the engine oil dipstick gives a decent reading of gearbox oil level down the speedo drive hole too, but not 100% on that.

What did you do to fix it, out of interest? (I'm thinking it went out when you put cheap tyres on!)
