Yes just match colour and you're good. If it blows again or not, just tell us.

The tale of two Marchs to towards an ideal Micra - I have some questions....

That version was not so cheap, if you want one you might need some patience. I bought my Super S completely rusted for 350 coins and that just because many bidders. It is dented all over. Be aware of rust though even in NZ. Rust is no fun.

    Radio dead.

Okay mate, just remove the small panel next to steering wheel and count the fuses before pin pointing the one you have to pull. There should be a small tool on the backside of this panel that can do this. There even should be replacement fuses. Mixing colours *not* recommended and even forbidden...

    Radio dead.

Really m8? Look next to steering wheel for similar like this. Just check for an obviously broken (blown) fuse at something that says radio. Tell us what state of fuse you have there.

    Early k11 for sale?

I recommend not that early for rear sils strength. My 1993 Super S gave up on a four column bridge and I'm not sure what to avoid and what to want but later Micra's I saw on scrap heap definately have stronger sils. Just quite enough even a little over if you ask me.

    New engine applaying

I can write some directions for 1.6. But no plan. Wiring you will need to do yourself. Welding has to be done professionally. The rest is a happy bolting job :) Downside on the 1.6 modification is to upgrade this for more horsepower is or very very expensive or not possible. Then the 1.3...

    New engine applaying

Ga16DE easy fit. Sr20DE not so easy to fit. Cg13DE wild engine > Ithisam Rauf https://www.micra.org.uk/members/ihtisham-rauf.29008/

what did you do to your micra today ?

I use Valvoline yellow wax. Sticky stuff, when applied is thin as water, comes out dripping and that works. Searching for waxoyl gave me shining stuff for the paint.

what did you do to your micra today ?

I would not mind. Rust prevention outside, inside, done. No rusting expected from that place. Secret is to rust prevent all the other places that are up next.

what did you do to your micra today ?

I would stop it from rusting (is possible and costs less then let a welder do it's job) and be done with it. Outisde, inside. Done.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Nothing. Yesterday it passed MOT and that was a 5 coins licene plate bulb replacement to just get it back with a MOT passed declaration ;)

    Richardwbb's 1993 Super S LHD sleeper.

Good news and bad news, then the bad news first. Stud broke off and I didn't even try to loosen it. Good news, so offered Micra for MOT.I actually wanted to be sure on the environmental regulation, but now that the manifold was no longer properly secured, immediately went for MOT. MOT guy...

Another 'oil recommendations' thread - sorry!

I would never changy viscosity on engine oil but viscosity is like cold/warm figures. For what I know, thicker oil then factory spec > 10w40, is okay (I just don't know what okay means here) and for thinner oil, that ends up burned with combustion.

    Worn CGA3 Advice

Another point, spending 15 coins on an additive to see what happens is cheap in the cirucumstances you have there (full ITB, ecu upped, etc) however that stuff might give dissapointing results and there is no real way without tearing up the engine to tell if the stuff worked well or did...

    Worn CGA3 Advice

I would skip the higher then usual compression and compare cylinder 3 compression to minium stated. There is quite a difference between standard and minimum. I still believe that cylinder 3 is keeping up and car races like mad like always? I would take plugs, take the three other plugs and...

Another 'oil recommendations' thread - sorry!

I always recommend Vavoline from the Action store at 4 coins a bottle but in your case I recommend learning about oil here, https://540ratblog.wordpress.com/ On the other hand this long text will explain also (but you will have to reason about this yourself) that non special oil if you do the...

    Engine Fell Out...

If I remember correct the engine mount bracket, this part that connects between cross member and engine block has four bolts. There is just one in the engine mount itself. If that one breaks it should be notable but I can not understand 6 inch, that is actually without a cross member-ish lower.

    Worn CGA3 Advice

Are there tricks to loosen a piston ring without opening the engine? Would compression restore additive have a chance? For the engine, I would not replace it too soon, cheap oil and make it scream some more to learn if cylinder number 3 actually will give up for real. I am not convinced your...

    Richardwbb's 1993 Super S LHD sleeper.

I forgot, for people that are about to use a packing scraper to get it very nice (two hours of tedious scraping tiny tiny thingies) Be sure to get a cupper based rotary drill. Won't hurt a steel pan, this because cuppe is a lot softer then steel so no damage there or you really tried to but that...

    Richardwbb's 1993 Super S LHD sleeper.

Thank you Dala for pointing that out to me. Such recommendations I just won't forget. I replaced my water pump. I used quite some RTV not willing to do it again but it surely is inside there so I let it harden the full 24 hours and asume it will be good. I figured there is no filter on the...
