Yeah didn't remove the brake lines or ARB. Did unbolt the shocks from the bottom though. What's the best rear jacking point? Didn't want to use the sills.

Ideally I would, but we had trouble getting the rear springs out, and destroyed one in the process. Couldn't get spring compressors on to take them out, and the axle wouldn't go down far enough either.

About 10 bodies by the looks of it. The "40mm" springs I got for the back were actually cut down further so it's way lower at the back, and I'm on standard shocks so I need to fix it quick.

Sounds plausible. Anyone know what to do with the rear brake situation? I saw it somewhere on here but I can't find it.

Just the rears only. The ones I have were cut (not by me) so were more like -60mm. Anyone got anything?

Do you mean the entire axle (shocks, panhard rod, trailing arms etc)? All we took out was the shocks and panhard rod to get it to drop lower. Everything else was still attached.

I do want the rear to be safe though, I'm not that comfortable with being at that height on stock shocks.

We unbolted the shock from the bottom, so the axle wasn't connected to the shock at all.

The problem is getting the original ones back in there. Even with compressors there isn't enough room to get them in.

...But it hasn't gone exactly to plan. I bought some 35mm lowering springs for the front some time ago (thanks @Magpie42), and some rear 35mm springs for the back some time later from somewhere else. The front springs went on perfectly, were captive and modestly lowered the car nicely. So no...
