Yeah I have a large ring terminal, small ring, and blade on the starter, then main battery neg is attached to one of the starter motor mounting bolts. The blade on starter is earthed to the chassis leg below battery. Cleaned all the earths too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe that one Calum is the main engine earth one (as in to the battery neg)

Potentially Frank. I am struggling to think how it could be connected wrong because it's quite simple - three connections onto three different shaped connectors. Potentially damaged loom. Also thinking about the main negative for the battery - I have it bolted onto one of the starter motor...

Well, I'm tackling it but not "properly" depending upon your definition. To me, properly would be to weld in clean fresh metal and treat all the joints and spend ages smoothing the welds and respray with proper airline equipment etc. I'm grinding away the bad metal, treating the leftovers...

I think I was being serious. And also joking in a way. We know it's a Micra, and it's not JDM. And performs just like any other 1.3, just with extra plastic and different shaped bits. But in 40 years, somebody will want a Micra as a "quirky" and different way to get around. And SR/SS Models...
