Quite common on rally cars with slipper diffs, I found the nearside hub nut slowly undoing its self on the first event after fitting a slipper diff to our Micra (witness marks are easy to to do with the split pin) changing to Nyloc sorted this problem.

98 1.0 gearset, would probably go for 1.3 gearset in the future as the ratios look a little better.

4.92 from Matt H is spot on, a little low with very low profile 13” tyres, ideal with most tyre sizes. I would only use a 5.1 if running 14 or 15” wheels or knobblies.

Nissan Note 1.4 hub nut with Nyloc is what you need....

Last time I saw a roof joist being used to lift an engine it was in my rent lock up.... it put quite some crack in the joist! Luckily they never spotted it when I moved out.

Over rated for what it is, just use Nissan coolant works a treat in the rally car.

Re your undoing hub nuts, I had this with our rally car. I now use Nissan Note 1.4 hub nuts which fit fine and are Nyloc as standard. That plus a load of threadlock keeps them in place. I then use the split pin as a marker with a dab of red paint on the nut to show any movement.

ECU Temp sensor has failed (it is different from the gauge one). To restart when warm remove the fuel pump fuse, crank until it starts, it will run for a bit then cut out, replace fuse and start and it should run ok again.

Lovely work, been there before chasing oil leaks with the driveshafts not quite sitting right in the seal. Made a right mess on the drive....

This sounds like a NATS (immobiliser) issue.... Try spraying brake cleaner down the throttle body whilst cranking if it runs then it is almost certainly NATS

@pollyp did a cut and vent on them. Mine have been rusty as anything for years....

Not an MOT'able piece so don't worry about them....

Two minutes with some tank tape will sort it.

It's been a while since I used the Micra on a solo, in the past I have used whatever I had lying around, but I wouldn't over inflate them. 32psi front and 26psi rear is what I used, but again this is personal choice.....
