I never noticed any difference in performance.

Keep the over axle hump, get a local garage to weld it to a second hand cherry bomb type "silencer" or maybe even a bit of stainless pipe. Exhaust place might let you have a rummage for a straight half metre of pipe in the scrap.

Lows, £0 Wheels £50 Rubbing strip removal £0 Twin tail pipe exhausts, around £15 for the stainless tube. Reverse rims, £satin black rattle can. Chin spoiler, £half sheet of mdf & tin of satin black rattle can. Fender mirrors, about £25 from a Thai eBay seller.

Those twin pipes up there completely replaced the back box, with the rest of the system stock they were ok, but when they later ended up on a car with a complete de-cat the noise was a bit antisocial. There's no reason why similar couldn't be done with a single larger diameter bit of pipe.

It was pretty empty when it went back in. But for the work, just cutting the over axle hump off the box and tabbing something else is less work.

Pretty sure there are some k11's in Canadia, but not the 'States.

I don't recall any loss of power when I did it, but the rest of the system was stock. The noise was noisy. Mark's 1.0L

I'm away down the A3 on the south coast, could make a trip up that way if there's a meet organised.

Oh and poke doesn't work without stretch - that's the point, it allows the wheel rim to sit proud of the arch, but with the inward stretch of the side wall keeping the tread under the arch and the tyre shoulder clear of the arch lip, all in order to facilitate fitment of the widest possible rims...

Somewhere around 80/90mm. 4ish coils off the front 3ish off the back (I think, it's so long now I'm not sure). All fully captive. Used in this spec for three years or so possibly more, particularly as this is essentially the same suspension as the LX, but with a little more off the springs...
