Swap the 175/50's for 165/55's to gain a little, slot or drill slightly oversize the nuckles to give the front some camber (or buy camber bolts if you are that way inclined), and make sure that you have the rear axle centred. Then frighten the arches with a length of scaffold pole.

You can always cut more off...........

I love the independent rear end idea, picking up on the original mounts so that the car can avoid sva and keep it's identity. Though in your hands probably a handling project, I can't help but rub my hands together with glee at the thought of adjustable camber and ridiculously wide wheels :)

Smartened up the wheels with some stainless bolts round the outside and some cheapy "D1 Spec" nuts. At least all the wheels are the same now, with a matching second set of nuts holding on the centres.

Fronts, drill a small hole each side of the top and bottom cup and wire the springs into the cup - stainless garden wire lasts a fair while. At the rear you can put a strap round the axle to prevent it dropping, or use shorter Corsa rear shocks.

Presumably you have dizzy caps and rotor arms, plugs HT leads and coil on the pdf, what about a spare ecu and fuse box as well as some inline fuse holders and crimps plus plenty of wire. Throttle body maybe, all that giggling will likely crack the circuit board connections - gas soldering iron...

CB would have been too small - but they would have wanted spacing anyway.

What width are your wheels? Any thing under 7" wide and you'll be needing 145 or 155 wide to get them looking stretched rather than just square. Also, unless the wheel outer rim is flush or poking out past the arch lip, you don't need stretch anyway. There's a link in my Sig, but there are...

I think a vinyl roof of some kind would e a good move, play it safe with black (ties in nicely with all the rubbers etc on the car). I'd go satin over full gloss. Or be brave...
