Clutch is just about worn out, needs replacing...... Probably made worse by oil contamination, while the gearbox is out, replace the crankshaft oil seal behind the flywheel, and of course the hydraulic slave cylinder assembly....
Great work Paul. If you do bushes like that in future consider using 'Nylatron' instead of 'Nylon', it has far better wear properties..... https://www.mcam.com/en/products/shapes/engineering/nylatron-ertalon
How did you get on with this? My replacement catalytic converter has just got a flat mating face to go onto the manifold and no location spigot that goes into the manifold, or is there a removable ring that has to be used from the original cat? The original cat is still on the car...
Cheers, that has helped a lot, I'm about to fit a new cat, onto a BX2 1.4 manifold, to my 1.2 Sport+, and need to source some new bolts (still waiting for the delivery of the manifold). I think I might go the stainless steel route.....
Regards John.....
Everything comes to those that wait...... try 6761 or 0761........ Sorry for delay, but as Mika said I get an automatic prompt, when one of the established code threads get answered, odd new threads can get missed....
Surely the simple answer is don't let the tank get that low before refuelling? I never let the fuel level on my Micra go below 1/4 full, then brim it again....
Surely one of these 6mm spade terminals that can be bought in any motor factors, attached to the area that the original broke off of, with conductive cement...
Why replace steel Rivnuts with aluminium ones in a steel panel, taking steel screws in an obviously wet area Paul?? You are just asking for galvanic corrosion to occur, far worst than the original surface rust, on the steel Rivnuts....
Any real performance gains are made by increasing the size of the air collector and the input pipe. The difference in cross-sectional area of the 60mm inlet pipe is almost 80% greater than the original pipe and as such gets a lot more air into the filter box....
