    Oil filter change...least messy?

Get a proper jack and axles stands, not worth the risk of it failing. Takes all of 1 minute to jack up and get the axle stand underneath.

    Washer bottle pipe seal

It's not a great place for the water bottle, at least in the engine bay it'll be a bit warmer and help it stop freezing

    Washer bottle pipe seal

Bumper off job, or at least half off on the driver's side: No easy way to reach it with the bumper in place. Mine was leaking from the seal of the pump into the bottle. Didn't have one to hand, so cleaned it and added a bead of instant silicon gasket on the seal as it goes in, and on the...

    Washer bottle pipe seal

Looks more like a proper leak since it's emptied itself in 4 days with very little use.

    Washer bottle pipe seal

Does anyone have a photo of how the filler pipe seals or attachs to the the wash bottle? I cant see any decent photos online. Mine looks to be leaking from the pipe or one of the joints on the pipe between filler and bottle. If you fill it up, then once full it drops down a bit and water drips...

    Struggling to remove wiper arms

Blowtorch is better, because hotter, and you can direct the flame to the arm and not get as much heat on the spindle, creating a better temperature difference. I'd doubt a hairdrier (or is is it hairdryer?) would be as effective since the air is very broad coming out, and the slow heating means...

    Struggling to remove wiper arms

Wiper arms are normally on a tapered spline that has a habit of rusting or seizing. With luck, some wd40 and wiggling should work. I've had to resort to blowtorch on some cars, a blast of heat is enough to get it free. Obviously taking care since there is plastic and windscreen around.

EPS Power steering column, what ACTUALLY goes wrong?

So where does the danger part come into it? Pulling to the side sounds no worse than tracking beng out, we've probably all drive cars like that. And if you have the diagnostics to see 0 degrees / straight ahead, couldn't the wheel alignment be set to that and all should be ok?

Original Satnav from n-tec K12 to 2005 model

I've got a qashqai connect one in our micra, was straight plug and play, except for the usb port, has to make a cable up for that. For the GPS antenna I made my own connection up to an active GPS receiver I had and stuck it under the front of the dash. Ours had bluetooth for phone already, to...
