The LHD thing, Nissan contacted me late last year with a car they tried this on and wasn’t able to do it. This I would not know but the LHD vehicle market did not use the security feature. I think it was more a UK Regs item!

Hey @Let123 That really does not sound good, I would suspect a reman unit has been fitted. You regular mechanic don’t sound that good, it looks like he has put a failed unit in or a unit not tuned to the correct engine which makes it feel a lot heavier. Where are you located, the best answer...

No. The ecu and motor are connected and come as a unit. So which ever one it is and it becomes repeatable, you will need to replace the eps. Not that expensive. Depends how much you like your car!

Makes it difficult for me to look at it. Usually if your getting a PS fault then the fault is usually within the eps. Intermittent faults usually increase to hard failures. How intermittent is it?
