Thanks. Would you agree with my appraisal of the situation then or is there anything else it might be. I have checked the wiring into the tailgate as I've read it can wear at this point.

I can confirm that the wiper is working when connected direct to the battery and as the relay is also ok I can only presume the fault lies with the switch on the column stalk? The operation for the front wipers and both front and rear washers is fine. How easy is the stalk to replace?

So, I've checked out the relay and that is fine and so with 12v getting to the motor I'm left with the switch on the stalk. Everything else there functions ok - front wiper and front and rear wash. I have tried another motor and it's made no difference.

The switch works for the front wipers and and front and rear washers, its only the rear wiper that doesn't respond. I will try swapping the deminster relay but it doesn't appear to be along side the rear wiper one.

I've locate the relay now. Can this be tested or is it a case of replacing with another. There is no click when the switch is turned on. Also do I need to get exactly 12v at the motor because today my multi meter showed 11.97v!!

I get 12v at the motor but don't hear a click from the relay which I still can't locate. Because I'm getting a reading from the motor I assume that's ok and the fault lies with the relay. That's where I am at the moment.

How is this going to be any better than the Sealy multi meter I have? I just want to locate the relay which I can't do at the moment.

I have done but can't see anything that looks like a relay. I'm told they are black?

I've checked behind the lights buy can't see any black relays - would they actually be in the wheel well cavity?

Yes 12v is getting to the connector plug when I connect the multi meter to the motor.

I don't hear a click. In fact I have tried another motor and the result is the same. What colour is the relay. There are some connections under the carpet on the right side behind the rear lights, is that where you mean?

The rear wiper motor on my 51 plate has stopped working. The fuse is ok and I'm I'm getting 12v to the motor. Might it be the relay and if so where can this be located? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The rear wiper has packed up on my 51 plate. I've checked the fuse and wiring through the tailgate and I'm getting 12v at the motor. I presume it must be the relay but don't know where it is fitted. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
