Update: the Ps light came on as battery was low, once fully charge it turns off and steering goes back to normal

My Ps light has come on and gone off and now on again. 2004 S I am convinced it’s a fuse as the boot has always not worked, lights can be intermittent and battery etc. It’s now on permanently with heavy steering and I want to get rid of the car but would like to resolve the power steering...
