Hey people.
So I have a K11 '95 (Aus) that's an intermittent no start though it's a bit more permanent these days.
The problem is fuel, the injectors won't fire, I have NATS but it seems to be functioning as you can't even crank the engine with it armed.
She'll idle if I pour fuel down it's...
The dipstick is the fill port and this 90's Micra isn't "filled for life" though I suppose it is since it will die.
The oil gets hot, the oil breaks down.
Fluid level lets you know if your box is leaking.
The trans fluid needs to be completely changed every other engine oil interval.
There's no lower cog, the cvt slips the EM clutch below 20km/h or so depending on the situation (it's in the manual somewhere).
Don't have the toque converter model so I can't speak on that.
Best guess is contamination in the clutch, also be sure to use normal ATF not CVT fluid.
Not sure what the problem with the box is but it sounds like the clutch is locking/unlocking a little harshly.
Also be sure not to use CVT fluid, it's Dex II+
so is there something I should check in particular or is the ecu dieing? I have already replaced the crank angle sensor in the dizzy and the car has run fine with it so that shouldn't be a problem.
also, I tried to run it with the relay bypass, engine died as soon as I touched the throttle and...
So I have some kind of gremlin in my electrical system, made even harder to find since the car intermittently decides to work.
I've narrowed it down to the fuel pump relay not energising even though it's getting 12v (for 3 seconds when ign switched to on) replacement relay won't energise...
