So, I really really want the Wald kit for my k11, and I see them go for about $1000 Aussie every week, while I understand shipping on such large items is expensive, I don't appreciate the ridiculously high surcharges importmonster charges. Surely there must be another way to get my hands on one besides them? Any ideas Micra enthusiasts?

best i have used, easy to deal with, very quick and has the best prices so far. gets stuff to you via EMS, so most of it arrives within a couple of weeks.

got many good things through him.

I have had good experiences with Jesse Streeter too, but is he able to send large items like the Wald kit that the thread starter mentions?

update:

After hearing reliable things about www.jessestreeter.com I hit him up and we are working through details right now but long story short it is possible as he has boat container shipping available at Brisbane and Sydney.

I'll update once I get a price and share the hopefully good news. As far as price goes, so far I know that exchange rate puts 90,000 yen for a new kit at about 1200 australian. I only hope it isn't another 1200 for delivery though I have no experience with this sort of thing at all..

Pierce,
Having recently imported things myself, with the help of Jesse, i can tell u that the process ain't cheap mate!... breakdown was roughly: shipping from japan - $750, logistic costs - $233, customs brokerage, quarantine inspection and courier from shipping terminal - $1235.... Jesse is brilliant, but large items like a full body kit might work out cheaper thru IM

It's such a shame that nobody made any kits over here, or had molds or anything... well I'm gonna keep my chin up until jesse gets back to me but if the grand total is over $2500 australian then I guess I'm better off going to nissan and just buying the front and rear Super S bumpers and the fog lights..

You would be better off getting a body kit for something like a Mini cooper or a suzuki swift and getting that modded to be honest. A large variety of kits to choose from. The total cost of buying it and then modding it to fit properly would be cheaper then 2500 i think.

Though in My honest opinion you can make these cars look great with ovwer fenders from IM for around the 600 delivered plus fitting then add super s front bar modded grill and some fat wheels.
