Well I did mine in conjuction with whiteline bars but having said that I think it handles better then my other car which also has the bars but stock ride hight.
As nick said around 40mm I thought it was 50mm but somewhere around that figure.

When you get the bars, don't go for the heavier ones on the rear, Cant remember off hand there is a 22mm and a 24mm I think, anyway go for whichever is the lighter of the two choices. The larger one is too heavy, broke the links on my other car with the heavier bar at the back.
