micra.com stickers

does anyone know where i can get a micra.com sticker?? they look pretty sweet on every1s cars!

Why would you want a micra.com sticker? Can't understand why you'd want to promote a small business in New Jersey..

Though if you add a .au to the end, then that makes a bit more sense. Cisco had these made up a few years ago if memory serves. Maybe it's time to get some new designs made up.

to be REALLY naff we should just get a .com.au made up in the same font as the MICRA font on the tailgate of the car and stick it there....

then we are driving Nissan Micra dot com do au LX's

or SLX's if you're a little less cool...

SLX's are cool man.. Gotta respect those 60/40 split rear seats and flat folding rears (well, depends on the series I think).

Anyhow, I'm trying to get an vector image copy of the little micra in this sticker:

yeh SLX's are soo mcuh better hahaha

but yeh that would be sick dens. i think that the original ones are good!! in white and black maybe?? so you can choose depending on your car colour.... thats my opinion anyway. i rekon the best pic of the micra is the on on the smokers shields (is you have one) or on the headlight protectors. similar to the shape in the pic above but looks better!!! might be a good idea to try get that one somehow???

I'll have a look around. Might find something on some jap sites or something. Any help locating a logo would be appreciated

Just some very quick ones, but there's just some ideas. Been looking for some places to get them done locally. Not too sure how much each are going to cost. Would be good to see some other people making up designs too.

i'm generally not a fan of having the stickers cause if people wanna find you or info about your car it makes it a bit too easy.. BUT

that second one is AWESOME dens... really like it!

deNs, that 2nd version is great - it's got my vote.

Just wear the sticker and be proud (I don't think there's a big demand for stolen Micras out there when there's so many other hot WRX's and Silvias out there to chose from!)

That's why it's a good idea to try and keep your car looking-low key just in case

I'll try and refine the look of the second one. Currently I can't really afford to get a batch of these done so we'll see what happens. Got exams until the end of the month too.

There's also the issue of size and colour (or metalic) of the stickers and whether it's done as a trace or box.

If money is an issue could get preorders? Otherwise if you do the artwork someone else could do the printing and distribution? Wouldn't cost that much to do a run of a 100 or so.

i'd buy 2 for $5, or maybe even 1 for $5 if they were awesome...

Here's my offering - I have taken the vector art from a K12 brochure and lifted the MICRA and re-worked to create micra.com.au. So this brings us up to date with the micra look.

It is all smooth art so quality will be A1. I reckon silver cut lettering.

I can probably organise the vinyl cut for free (I work in the advertising/design industry)

Check out my design and let me know what you reckon.

It would just be a matter of deciding how many to make and then the posting out to members.

I have made it around 12mm x 150mm

made up this today... still needs a bit of work (back wheel etc.) but i reckon a pen drawing like this would be pretty cool instead of that bubble thing!!! to be made into a sticker.. would it be possible to have all white transparent or even not there... just the black as a sticker or is that too detailed??

i can send the photoshop file with layers separate to anyone wanting to have a play around with it......

The reason I made mine purposely simple is because it doesn't need to be very detailed and vinyl tranfers are an absolute pain to use when they've got a large amount of closed areas.

For transparency to look good, you generally need to start it by hand from scratch, and from a decent res copy of what you're trying to create. There are plenty of ways to delete out what you don't want so that the car layer would have transparency where needed

dens... yeh i have the car layer on a separate layer (the white is only cos i saved a copy as JPEG). i used the line tool to trace a micra although it was a small pic and only at 72 dpi not 300. i could always change the pixel ratio however it makes it a bit blurry.

The other "bubble thing" is more historically correct. It's as Nissan used on their sales brochures for the Micras.
Not saying we need to keep it that way, but that is the reason of it.
