Gee I'm having problems just finding a tupperware style container with the rough dimensions of about 18cm x 17cm x 8cm. I've been to :Kmart, Storage World, Home-art, Myer, reject shop, $2 asian shop. There is nothing close to that size, they are all to big or way too small. haha.

I have the thick 2G cable and end eye terminal fittings ready to roll now, but just can't get a suitable box to sit the battery in.

Anyone know where might be good? I might check woolies and coles out. Doesn't have to be an approved battery box because the odyssey is sealed and has no liquid or gas fumes in it and can be mounted on its side safely.

^^Seconded.

Tupperware plastic isnt designed to have battery acid sitting in it. A proper battery box is designed to contain a split battery...

Having a proper battery box will bring less questions from the friendly highway patrol as well.

There about $50, from memory, Come with a strap to lock the lid, you need a breather though! You may not actually NEED one, but by law, you must have one, I just used an old washing machine hose and ran it out of a drainage hole in the boot

Thanks for the idea mate. But the supercheap auto ones are way out of proportion for the size of an odyssey. It won't be a tidy fit. I checked them out a few weeks ago.

Odyssey batteries don't let off fumes or anything. I'm not sure if an engineer can write on the certificate that its safe or if regardless of engineering it must have a breather. I will ask him.

I'm now thinking I will just use a simple alloy bracket and bolt her down to the floor under the seat.

Hmm..!

What about the manufacturers or distributors of the Odyssey batteries Cisco? Could it be worth contacting them and seeing of they make a box to fit your battery? Or if they can recommend one.

Cheers.

Dont worry about the battery box for the odyssey. They were designed to use for aircraft, miltary equipments and motorsport( dont u have the manual come with the battery ?)And they said it can be locate in any direction( up-side down, sideway.....etc). I saw in many case people use them with a single metal bracket to hold it on the floor but lay flat.........

i have a photo here, but i'm using my new pc,so no program i can use for image editing at the moment.but i send it via your email now so have a look.

Awesome thanks Alex. Yeah that's what I thought!

A bracket like that looks perfect.

Do you know who sells these? Probably worth a fortune, could make a home made one pretty easily by the looks of it aswell. Just need a piece of alloy. Might do some hunting around today.

When you received your hyper-rev march no.2 , you'll find b-crews demo car use the same bracket there. I want to track one down in japan, but i think it'll be cheaper to make it here locally..... :)

Ahh!

I knew B-Crews sells this off the shelf for March.
I will ask Fujita san if it fits my 650 odyssey battery and get a price! I'll see how much they are and let everyone know. If its reasonable, then might import a couple.
